While Amsterdam is not quite as big as Paris or London, it's got something to offer to everyone. With origins in the 12th century and over 50 museums, there's plenty for the cultural tourist to experience. Or go on a shopping spree in one of its 10k shops. And Amsterdam's open mindset provides all the right ingredients for a great party!
On my trip to San Francisco, I got the chance to fly a Cessna over San Francisco by myself.
After about half an hour on the flight simulator, to get acquainted with some controls, we went out, inspected the plane, and I soon found myself a mile above San Francisco.
And the Golden Gate bridge. And Alcatraz.
When I think of travel, I think of adventure. Or a citytrip to soak up the local culture and hop from landmark to landmark.
Relaxing at the beach is not what I'd usually seek out, but I did when I visited Paphos.
And let me tell you, there was no shortage of sun & beaches!
Alcatraz, nicknamed The Rock, needs no introduction.
It has a reputation, it's a place of legends.
It's been featured in a ton of movies & tv series.
Naturally, it was at the top of my list when I was in San Francisco, and it did not disappoint!
